
New docuseries about Tupac and his mother Afeni Shakur's relationship gets first teaser trailer
A brief teaser trailer has landed for Dear Mama, an upcoming docuseries about the relationship between Tupac and his mother Afeni Shakur.
Dear Mama is directed by Allen Hughes (The Defiant Ones), and will be a five-part docuseries about Tupac and his mother and activist Afeni Shakur.
According to the video description, Dear Mama will be told "through the eyes of the people who knew them best," and is described as "an intimate wide-angle portrait of the most inspiring and dangerous mother-son duo in American history, whose unified message of freedom, equality, persecution and justice are more relevant today than ever."
Tupac died in September 1996, while his mother Afeni Shakur died inn May 2016 after going into cardiac arrest at her home.
