Django Django share new single "First Light"
Django Django have fully pulled the trigger on new single "First Light", a release they teased towards the back-end of last week.
"First Light" is the first new material proper from the band since 2012, the year they released their self-titled debut. They rose alongside alt-J as quirky math-pop experimenters, but where alt-J gunned for stadiums and big statements, Django Django have bided their time, working slavishly over new material; the result is a firmer grasp of the electronic arts. They use trembling, dark electro-pop bassline, screwy beats and a static fuzz on "First Light", and it's clear that the comparisons they were once plagued with are long dead.
The single is available now, either vinylly or digitally.
