Chicago producer DJ Rashad passed away over the weekend, at the young age of 35.
A frontrunner in the city’s footwork scene, Rashad signed to London imprint Hyperdub for his last album Double Cup. His upcoming EP We On 1 will be released this week.
Rashad was found dead at his Chicago home on Saturday afternoon, with a drug overdose expected as the cause of death. An autopsy will take place shortly.
