DJ Akademiks gives update on release of Drake's Certified Lover Boy album
DJ Akademiks has provided an update on the release of Drake's highly-anticipated Certified Lover Boy album, revealing that it's due to land in "April or before".
Back in January Drake confirmed that Certified Lover Boy was no longer dropping that month so he could focus on recovering from a recent surgery.
He did confirm that it'll be released in 2021, and last week DJ Akademiks provided an update on the release of Drake's album during a livestream on Thursday (25 February). DJ Akademiks shut down rumours that Drake's new album was dropping as a surprise that night (25 February), and went on to reveal what Drake told him directly, "Drake told me that it's going to be dropping before April so he's not waiting until summer to drop his shit. I don't wanna say before April... April or before. But the reason why I'm saying it's not dropping tonight, as in Thursday night, is because he's spent so much time on this project that he's not trying to put out a surprise project. He's gonna let people know at least a week before, bro."

Drake's forthcoming album will follow 2018's Scorpion.
Although he's yet to release new music this year, Drake did appear on Drakeo The Ruler's "Talk To Me" track last week.
