It’s with great sadness that we report the death of Divinyls frontwoman Chrissy Amphlett, who died yesterday (21 April) at the age of just 53.
The Australian singer of the New Wave group, best known for hit ‘I Touch Myself’, lost her battle with breast cancer, passing away in New York.
The band, who split in 1997, reformed briefly in 2006 after being inducted into their home land’s ARIA Hall of Fame.
Our thoughts are with Amphlett’s family and friends at this time.
