Discover meditation with composer and producer Káryyn on this week's podcast
Syrian-Armenian-American multi-disciplinary artist, electronic musician, vocalist and producer Káryyn made a splash last year with her debut single "Aleppo", named for the city she spent her summers during her early life.
Her music is inspired by the human condition and her heritage, with memories of family and community central to her compositions. Raised in Alabama, she's lived in Berlin and New York and is probably best known for her work in collaboration with Samantha Shay, an original opera written under tutelage of Marina Abramovic called ‘Of Light’. After a single performance in Reykjavik, the opera was acclaimed by Bjork who watched from the audience.
In this episode of Talk The Line, we met up with Káryyn at last year's Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík were she talked to us about the importance of meditation to her life and art. Listen now via iTunes.
