Dirty Projectors announce new EP with tender ballad "Search For Life"
Dirty Projectors have announced their new EP Windows Open, and have shared a fresh ballad "Search For Life".
"Search For Life" is the second single to be lifted from Windows Open, after last month's "Overlord".
The new offering sees guitarist Maia Friedman take the lead on vocals again, after Dave Longstreth put together a new lineup around their Lamp Lit Prose tour in 2018. Friedman sings the lead vocals across all tracks on Windows Open. "Search For Life" also features string arrangement by Oliver Hill (Vagabon, Dust Rider).
Their forthcoming Windows Open EP will be the group's first collection of tracks since 2018's Lamp Lit Prose.
Windows Open is written, produced, and mixed by Dave Longstreth. He co-wrote the lyrics with Friedman, and the EP was recorded at Longstreth's LA studio Ivo Shandor.
