‘Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead’ from The Wizard Of Oz has made it into the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart following a protest campaign sparked by the death of Margaret Thatcher.
The track, performed by the cast of the 1939 film and only 56 seconds in length, is currently at the tenth spot of the official chart – as well as at number two of the iTunes chart and number one in the Amazon MP3 chart.
Many musicians have spoken out in the past few days about the reign of the former Prime Minister, including Chumbawamba and Morrissey, twice.
Listen to ‘Ding Dong!’ below. Thatcher passed away on Monday (8 April), aged 87.
