DIIV preview new song 'Dust' from upcoming album
Brooklyn shoegazers DIIV return with a recorded rehearsal of their new song ‘Dust’, which is set to feature on their forthcoming album.
The group posted to their Tumblr page a video that shows them running through the song, with its swooping delay pedal guitars, in a tiny practice room somewhere. They advise fans to be on the look-out for this and “two or three other new ones” at their upcoming July shows in Europe- including performances at T in the Park and Latitude- and in Korea and Japan.
Earlier in the year DIIV pulled out of the Great Escape and Primavera festivals, with NME announcing the news despite frontman Zachary Cole Smith’s comments having been spoken off the record. According to the Tumblr post, the group look to record the follow-up to last year’s Oshin in November and December, with a release date penned for March- leaving enough in between time for them to spend February cruising around the Bahamas with Weezer.
