DIIV announce 10th anniversary edition of debut album Oshin
DIIV have announced a 10th anniversary edition of their debut album Oshin, which will include a live recording of unreleased song "Yuk", demos and more.
The 10th anniversary reissue of Oshin will feature the original tracklist, album demos (which DIIV previously released on Bandcamp for one day in 2020) and two live recordings from their 2011 Shea Stadium Brooklyn show (which includes the previously unreleased song "Yuk"). The 2xLP reissue will be pressed on blue marble vinyl, and will arrive with a poster and a 24-page booklet featuring "reflections from each band member and the writer of the original Oshin poem, and new liners by Shaad D'Souza."
DIIV will also release a 7" vinyl boxset featuring "Sometime", "Human" and "Geist", marking the first time the tracks have been repressed since their original release.
According to Stereogum, DIIV said of the reissue, "Oshin is our first album. It came out ten years ago and because of that we have decided to put together a very nice and very intricate and thoughtful 10th anniversary edition of the album for you. We are packaging it alongside my homemade demo recordings and a few unreleased live recordings from one of our first shows. It has new art by our friend Parker Sprout and it has some writing from the members of the band, the writer of the original Oshin poem, and an expansive meditation on the history of the album from Shaad D’souza. We hope you enjoy it."
