Dexter and Six Feet Under actor set to star in David Bowie's new musical Lazarus
Michael C. Hall has been announced as Thomas Newton, the lead in Lazarus - a new off-Broadway production of The Man Who Fell To Earth.
Based on the 1963 novel by Walter Tevis, the new reimagining is co-written by David Bowie and Enda Walsh, and staged by Ivo van Hove (A View From The Bridge). Bowie famously played the lead role in a 1976 film adaptation of The Man Who Fell To Earth.
Bowie is composing original music, and new arrangements of "previously recorded tracks", for Lazarus.
This is far from Hall's first time on stage, or in a musical for that matter, with roles in Hedwig and The Angry Inch, Chicago and Cabaret on Broadway.
The show is set to have its official opening night on 7 December.
