Deradoorian unveils new single "It Was Me"
Deradoorian has revealed her latest single "It Was Me" as the third single to be shared from her Find The Sun album.
"It Was Me" lands after previous outings "Monk's Robes" and "Saturnine Night", and arrives with a visual directed and animated by Rebecca Hac.
Find The Sun will follow on from Deradoorian's 2017 mini-album Eternal Recurrence. The album, which was due for release on 22 May, has been delayed until 18 September due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The tracks that make up Find The Sun were conceptualised during a summer spent in the Rockaways with friend and percussionist Samer Ghadry. Deradoorian, Ghadry, and collaborator Dave Harrington took the tracks and finished them at California's Panoramic House studio.
Deradoorian says of the tracks, "Overall, a lot of these songs are about trying to reach yourself - how to be your most brilliant self, because we come from a culture that doesn't actually support this. We are so deeply programmed to obey societal boundaries that we don't even know the power we contain within."
