Deradoorian previews new album with fifth single "Mask of Yesterday"
Deradoorian has released her new track "Mask of Yesterday", the fifth single to be lifted from her upcoming album Find The Sun.
"Mask of Yesterday" arrives after earlier releases "Corsican Shores", "It Was Me", "Monk's Robes" and "Saturnine Night".
Find The Sun will follow on from Deradoorian's 2017 mini-album Eternal Recurrence.
The tracks that make up Find The Sun were conceptualised during a summer spent in the Rockaways with friend and percussionist Samer Ghadry. Deradoorian, Ghadry, and collaborator Dave Harrington took the tracks and finished them at California's Panoramic House studio.
Deradoorian says of the tracks, "Overall, a lot of these songs are about trying to reach yourself - how to be your most brilliant self, because we come from a culture that doesn't actually support this. We are so deeply programmed to obey societal boundaries that we don't even know the power we contain within."
