Depeche Mode announce SXSW 2013 appearance

Depeche Mode are set to make a surprise appearance at this year’s SXSW festival.

It will be the band’s first outing at the Austin music showcase, with the legendary electronic outfit appearing at the city’sBrazos Hall on Friday 15 March.

The band are set to release Delta Machine, their thirteenth studio effort and follow-up to 2009′s Sounds of the Universe, on 25 March (UK)/26 March (U.S) via Columbia.

It was recently revealed that frontman Martin Gore will appear on the new Frank Ocean album, while also premiering new material at a special show livestreamed from Times Square next week.
