Denai Moore previews third album with new single "Motherless Child"
Denai Moore is back with "Motherless Child" - the third single from her forthcoming Modern Dread album.
"Motherless Child" follows on from previous singles "Cascades" and "To The Brink", and arrives with a trippy 3D CG video created by George Jasper Stone, which Moore says is supposed to depict "a warped shell of a human dancing on their own in a big space."
Of the song itself, Moore adds, ""Motherless Child" was a song that I wrote years ago that didn't work for other projects. Alex [Robertshaw] and I decided to revisit it and start completely from scratch, and then it suddenly felt much more fresh and exciting. This song is about detachment, loneliness & feeling really isolated from the world around me, which feels crazy releasing it in isolation during a pandemic."
Modern Dread will be Moore's third album, and first since 2017's We Used To Bloom.
For the vinyl release, Moore will be pressing the LP onto eco coloured vinyl - an idea pioneered vinyl manufacturer Modo. It combines leftover colours of other vinyl pressings, which helps to reduce waste, and can provide an impressive, unique, and colourful outcome.
