Deerhunter issue bizarre press release for “nocturnal garage” new album
Often weird, always tongue-in-cheek, Deerhunter have revealed a rather bizarre press release outlining their forthcoming new album.
The Bradford Cox-led group will put out new record Monomania via 4AD come 7 May. Before then however, they’ve outlined what to expect. Kind of.
The statement released via their label’s official website speaks of a “mystery disc of nocturnal garage” as well as “rat tapes”, “fog machine” and, err, “leather”. It sounds a bit like they’ve run the original copy through Google translate a few times.
Read the press release in full below, or alternatively here.
