Hackney-based ensemble Deep Throat Choir have announced their debut record Be OK, and shared the lead single/title track.
The choir was started three years ago by Luisa Gerstei (Landshapes, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) from a desire to strip modern music back to simple drum and voice elements.
As well as a range of reinterpretations of other artists' music - there are covers of Björk, Little Dragon, Sylvan Esso, and more - the upcoming LP containts two original compositions - you can hear "Be OK", the first of these, above.
The album was recorded with Dan Blackett (Landshapes) and David Holmes at Soup Studios.
