Declan McKenna got his second COVID vaccine straight after his Leeds Festival set
Declan McKenna made use of the pop-up clinic at Leeds Festival over the weekend by getting his second COVID vaccine straight after his set.
It's been revealed that McKenna, who performed at Leeds Festival on Saturday (28 August) afternoon, made use of the pop-up clinic on-site to get his second COVID-19 vaccination shortly after performing.
While speaking to Leeds TV, McKenna revealed he was supposed to get his second jab earlier this month, but ended up testing positive for COVID too close to his vaccination date. He said he "seized the opportunity" to get it done at Leeds Festival and added, "Got two days off so I just thought yeah, get it done now."
McKenna wrote on Twitter yesterday (29 August), "and I feel fine today, although I’m sure my arm would hurt less if sam would’ve refrained from punching it."

COVID vaccines were available at Reading and Leeds as part of the NHS' vaccination programme, and aimed to encourage 16 and 17-year-olds in England to get vaccinated.
