Death From Above unleash "Holy Books", another blistering cut from Outrage! Is Now
Death From Above, now flying sans 1979, have shared "Holy Books", the closing track from their upcoming record Outrage! Is Now.
"Holy Books" joins up with "Freeze Me" and "Never Swim Alone" to preview the noisenik's first LP since 2014's comeback record The Physical World.
"There’s an absolute chaos and confusion in the world, and people who would otherwise agree on most things seem to be disagreeing on everything," says the duo's Sebastien Grainger. "There’s a lot more space between the poles of opinion and views on the world. It seems like there's a barrier of disgust as we dehumanize one another based on a few slight differences of opinion. The title is an observation of this hyper-sensitivity, which we’re all a part of."
"I hope fans hear the progression," adds the other half of DFA, Jesse Keeler. “This record is very much the result of the environment and experiences of the last five years. If we didn’t have struggle, life would be really fucking boring. These songs are an anti-boredom manifesto.”
