Death From Above 1979 share a really weird video for "Virgins"
Rock band Death From Above 1979 have premiered their new video for "Virgins" and boy is it weird.
The video for the latest cut from the Canadian duo’s 2014 album The Physical World features a whole bunch of unnerving happenings, such as drinking milk straight from an unsuspecting goat's udder, eyeball licking, and the old, not-so-very-thinly-veiled, nudge nudge wink wink of a passing of a banana covered in red liquid from one farm girl to another. All this occurs whilst a gathering of Amish kids take hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The band stated that both the video and the song deals with the "very precarious time in life where sex is elusive, maybe even frightening but always compelling" and "takes cues from the lyrics of the song which are a meditation on innocence and coming of age".
