Death Cab For Cutie share new single "Here To Forever"
Death Cab For Cutie have released a second single from their forthcoming album Asphalt Meadows titled "Here To Forever".
After announncing Asphalt Meadows with the lead single "Roman Candles" in May, Death Cab For Cutie have released a second single from the record titled "Here To Forever", which lands with a Lance Bangs-directed video that sees lead singer Ben Gibbard get to work at a vinyl pressing plant.
Gibbard says of the release, "It’s a song both about our impermanence and the anxiety of these times. It’s also about wanting to believe in something bigger even when it feels like nothing is out there."
Asphalt Meadows will follow Death Cab For Cutie's 2018 album Thank You For Today.
Back in February Gibbard curated the Yoko Ono tribute album Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono, and it featured Death Cab For Cutie's cover of Ono's "Waiting For The Sunrise".
