Death Cab For Cutie preview new album with third outing "Foxglove Through The Clearcut"
Death Cab For Cutie have shared new track "Foxglove Through The Clearcut" as the third taster of their upcoming 10th album Asphalt Meadows.
"Foxglove Through The Clearcut" follows previous singles "Here To Forever" and "Roman Candles", and according to lead vocalist Ben Gibbard, it's "by far the most personal song on the record."
He adds, "While I was writing it, I thought I was merely the narrator. But the longer I sat with it, I realised I was both the protagonist AND the narrator."
Asphalt Meadows will follow Death Cab For Cutie's 2018 album Thank You For Today.
Back in February Gibbard curated the Yoko Ono tribute album Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono, and it featured Death Cab For Cutie's cover of Ono's "Waiting For The Sunrise".
