David Letterman announces retirement from The Late Show

After three decades in U.S late-night, David Letterman has confirmed that he’ll retire in 2015.
The talk show host, who has presented the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS for 21 years following 11 years at NBC’s Late Night, made the announcement during Thursday evening’s show.
“We don’t have the timetable for this precisely down – I think it will be at least a year or so, but sometime in the not too distant future,” Letterman said of the news. “2015 for the love of God”.
