David Guetta claims Madonna didn't want to work with him after learning his star sign
David Guetta has revealed in an interview that Madonna turned down working with the DJ after he told her what star sign he was.
Yesterday (4 October), French DJ David Guetta took part in an interview via the McFly et Carlito YouTube channel.
In the interview, Guetta reveals that Madonna was first interested in working with him after Guetta won a Grammy for his remix of her "Revolver" track in 2011.
Guetta recalls their meeting in the interview, "She tells me that she loves this remix and she suggests that I produce her next album. I arrive for lunch. We talk about everything - the music, what she wants to do with the album. Super nice. It's just her and me. Very relaxed, very cool. We have lunch. It's happening. Very good and you wonder when we start working together."
The DJ then told Madonnna his star sign (Scorpio), and claims that her tone shifted pretty quickly, "Suddenly, she makes a face and she says to me, 'I'm sorry, we're not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye!'"
It's unclear if Madonna's dislike for Scorpios has happened in recent years, as back in 1994 she worked with Björk (also a Scorpio) to co-write "Bedtime Story", which went on to reach the top 10 in the UK Singles Chart.
