David Cameron compiles mixtape for world leaders, picks Alt-J, Jake Bugg and Tom Odell
David Cameron, British Prime Minister and famed Smiths fan, helped put together a mixtape for the world’s most powerful, attempting to show off his music taste in the process.
As The Guardian note, the collection, 10 tracks in all, was assembled with some advice from the British Phonographic Industry and stuck onto a USB stick, before being presented to the elite politicians at the G8 summit.
Among the artists covered were the likes of Mercury Prize winners Alt-J, singer-songwriter Jake Bugg, BRITs Critics’ Choice Tom Odell and other such acts some may label as ‘The New Boring’.
