David Bowie’s new single ’Where Are We Now?’ has reached sixth place in the UK Singles Chart, his first Top 10 track since 1993.
Bowie’s 20 year wait for a high-charting hit came to an end by a surprise single that mid-way through the week wasn’t looking likely to chart.
The Official Charts Company had previously ruled it ineligible to feature this week because it was attached to an album pre-sale offer. However, they later changed their mind.
You can listen to the track in question, which was released to celebrate the singer’s 66th birthday, below.
David Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti has revealed that he won’t tour around his upcoming album.
