David Bowie behind-the-scenes documentary to broadcast on BBC Two
A feature-length documentary film about David Bowie’s career will be aired on BBC Two later this year.
The film, entitled David Bowie: Five Years, will focus on five key points in the musician’s life – particularly the years 1971, 1975, 1977, 1980 and 1983.
It will then conclude with a look at the singer’s upcoming album, The Next Day.
Insiders have said that the film will include ”extraordinary unseen footage”; both on stage and behind-the-scenes.
BBC’s Jan Younghusband said:
“David Bowie is one of the most important international music stars of the past fifty years. His impact on the music industry around the globe is exceptional. The never-before-seen footage in this programme will provide a fascinating insight into the world of this very private person.”
It was also revealed last week that a new film is being made about Bowie and Iggy Pop’s ‘Berlin Years’.
