Dave Grohl putting out new metal album to coincide with Foo Fighters' STUDIO 666 film

Dave Grohl has revealed he plans to put out a metal album under the name Dream Widow to accompany Foo Fighters' upcoming film STUDIO 666.

Foo Fighters' STUDIO 666 film is set for release in the US on 25 February, and in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Dave Grohl revealed he's been working on a metal album that will arrive with the film later this month.

Grohl will release the album as Dream Widow, the fictional band from STUDIO 666. The first Dream Widow single "March of the Insane" was unveiled a couple of days ago.

Speaking about the record, Grohl said, "It will be the lost album. It’ll be the album they were making before he fucking killed the entire band."

He added of the release, "I mean, I work fast, but fuck, this deadline is going to kill me. Yes, I’ll get it out for the movie. By February 25th, there will be a Dream Widow record."

Foo Fighters' STUDIO 666 film is set for release in the US on 25 February.
