Dave Grohl launches new Instagram account while in isolation to share short stories from his life
Dave Grohl has decided to use his time in isolation to launch a new Instagram account that will see him share short stories from throughout his life.
Dave's True Stories launched last night (24 March). The account was created to keep Grohl busy while in isolation from the coronavirus pandemic.
On his first post, which introduces the account, the Foo Fighters vocalist writes, "Hi, my name is Dave. Sometimes I play drums. Sometimes I play guitar. Sometimes I tell stories. I’m currently looking for work, so I’d thought I’d pass the time by writing short stories that will make people smile. (I'm also a total fucking spaz who can't sit around doing nothing)."
He adds, "My mother was a brilliant English teacher, my father, a wicked speechwriter." He also reveals he didn't pay attention to grammar and punctuation in school, and writes, "So... have mercy. Not going for a Nobel Prize in literature here."
Before signing off his first post, Grohl reveals he's looking forward to "sharing some of the more ridiculous moments of my life."
Similar to Grohl's Foo Fighters tour postponement letter from last week, he shares a reminder to "wash your fucking hands."
