Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin mark seventh night of Hanukkah with The Knack cover
Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin marked the seventh night of Hanukkah with a cover of The Knack's "Frustrated" last night (16 December).
The Hanukkah Sessions is a covers project by Grohl and producer Greg Kurstin where they cover eight songs by eight different Jewish artists for each night of Hanukkah.
Last night marked the seventh night of Hanukkah, and Grohl and Kurstin delivered a cover of The Knack's "Frustrated".
Grohl wrote of The Knack cover, "Tonight we’re featuring four nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl… "My Shalom-a" or something like that... We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the “old wave” that came after Moses parted the Red Sea)…so we were psyched to get to cover one of our favorites…The Knack!"
Previous Hanukkah Sessions covers by Grohl and Kurstin include their version of Elastica's "Connection", Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35", Beastie Boys' "Sabotage", Drake's "Hotline Bling", Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" and Peaches' "Fuck The Pain Away".
