Dana Gavanski announces second album with lead single "Indigo Highway"
Dana Gavanski has returned with news of her upcoming second album When It Comes, and has unveiled "Indigo Highway" as the lead outing.
"Indigo Highway" will appear on Gavanski's When It Comes album with last year's "Letting Go", and is accompanied by a Daisy Dickinson-directed video.
When It Comes will follow Gavanski's 2020 debut album Yesterday Is Gone. Gavanski says of her second record, "In many ways this record feels like it is my first. When I could use my voice, I had to focus so there is an urgency and greater emotional trajectory than before… it’s very connected to vocal presence, which extended into an existential questioning of my connection to music. It felt like a battle at times, which I frequently lost."
Tunng and LUMP's Mike Lindsay mixed Gavanski's new album, which was started in Montreal, and recorded at London's Total Refreshment Centre.
