Avant-garde composer Moondog is the subject of new documentary The Viking of 6th Avenue, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.
The film will tell the story of Louis Thomas Hardin, the blind American jazz musician who died in 1999. It’ll feature never-before-seen footage of Hardin, as well as interviews with those he influenced: Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn, Philip Glass, John Zorn, Debbie Harry and more.
You can watch a trailer for the movie below (via Pitchfork), with more information here.
