Dagny returns with Steve Aoki on huge new track "Hit Your Heart"
Norway's Dagny is back with a huge banger featuring Steve Aoki, "Hit Your Heart".
"Hit Your Heart" is the first offering from Dagny since her 2018 cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide", and first new material since featuring on The Wombat's reworked "Turn" track.
The new single sees the Norwegian singer collaborate with producer and DJ Steve Aoki, who worked with BTS, Louis Tomlinson, Kiiara, Lil Yachty, and many more on his 2018 album Neon Future III.
On the new single, Dagny says, "After watching "Hit You Heart" become a fan’s favourite in our live set, I sent a demo of it to Steve and he immediately wanted to be involved in the production. I wanted it to feel strong and powerful and capture that energy that came upon both us and our audience whilst playing it live - and that’s exactly what Steve added. I’ve been so excited to release this track and I hope it hits people’s heart. Pun intended."
Aoki said of their collaboration, "This collaboration came naturally I think to both of us. Her voice is so luscious and adaptable that I felt like I had a lot of musical freedom to produce something that would suit her vocals. She could fit into any genre, and that’s something I really admire about her."
