Daft Punk to remix own 'Random Access Memories' tracks
Daft Punk are set to remix Daft Punk, as the French pair reveal they’re planning on dropping a series of reworked tracks from their recent album Random Access Memories.
“We’re working on some mixes ourselves. So, yes, there will probably be Daft Punk mixes of Daft Punk,” Thomas Bangalter told BBC Radio 1′s Pete Tong recently. “Usually, we never mix ourselves, that’s something we feel we’re interested in doing this time.”
But with many numbers throughout the record lending themselves to reworking, where are they going to start? Their first single, of course. “The first track we’re remixing is ‘Get Lucky’. That will be out by the end of June.”
The bonus track from Random Access Memories‘ Japanese release recently emerged online, streamable here.
