Daft Punk and The Weeknd working together?
Daft Punk and The Weeknd have been working in the studio together, according to Republic Records' Wendy Goldstein.
Goldstein, executive VP and head of urban A&R, was speaking as part of a 'Hitmakers Roundtable' for Billboard last month. She and six other "top creatives and influencers" spoke about life and work behind the scenes in the music industry - it's an interesting read for sure, but one of the most fascinating titbits was a small aside, as noted by YourEDM.
“Actually, we have a session coming up in two days … with The Weeknd and Daft Punk,” Goldstein explains. “I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan, and this is the first time that I’ve actually been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”
It's not exactly clear when "two days" was/is, but last week The Weeknd posted a rather intriguing pic to his Facebook...
