Crows launch GoFundMe after having their gear stolen
Crows have launched a GoFundMe page after revealing they had their gear stolen from their van.
The London rockers had their van broken into overnight while it was parked outside guitarist Steve Goddard's house in Camden, London, revealing that the thieves took "around £6/7,000 worth of gear."
Crows reveal they had built up their equipment over the last five or six years, and part of the missing gear includes Steve Goddard's unique guitar. Speaking to BBC, Goddard said, "The thing that's winding me up the most is one of the guitars was my favourite guitar and has a really unique sound. I've struggled to find anything like it so it may impact the overall sound. Everything else we're hoping to be able to get again, it's just going to be a pretty hefty credit card bill."
Adding more about the situation on their GoFundMe page, Crows write, "As a hardworking band that operates largely from our own pockets and work full time jobs to support ourselves, this is a big financial blow. We aren't covered by insurance and the police response has been limited. We can only assume by the look of the van that this was a professional job and its likely the gear is being or has already been sold on."
The band also shared a full list of the equipment that was stolen on socials.
Sad to say we’ve been robbed. Obviously very gutted but we’ll work it out. We always do. — Please keep an eye out for re-sale of any of this gear. pic.twitter.com/XqQFokmeup
