Courtney Barnett announces new record Tell Me How You Feel
Courtney Barnett is back with "Nameless, Faceless", the lead single from eagerly awaited record Tell Me How You Really Feel.
The robust new punk-tinged opus features plenty of Barnett's signature wit, but the chorus is reserved for Margaret Atwood-inspired sincerity: "I want to walk through the park in the dark / men are scared that women will laugh at them / I want to walk through the park in the dark / women are scared that men will kill them / I hold my keys between my fingers..."
The official album news arrives just a few days on from a teaser trailer with album track "I'm Not Your Mother, I'm Not Your Bitch" at its heart.
The new album follows up Barnett's recent collaborative LP with Kurt Vile, Lotta Sea Lice, as well as 2015 opus Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit. She's been sharing the odd tune in recent months for various clubs and compilations, including "How To Boil An Egg", "Pickles From The Jar", and "Three Packs A Day", but none of these feature on the record.
