Elina Lin launches debut solo project FEMES with first track "Voices"
Elina Lin, who tours with Courteeners as a keyboard player and backing vocalist, has launched her debut solo project FEMES with the first single "Voices".
"Voices" is Lin's debut solo single as FEMES, and is the first preview of a debut EP due to arrive this summer.
Lin, who tours with Courteeners as a keyboardist and backing vocalist, and has previously worked with Sundara Karma and The Ninth Wave, said FEMES is a "deep exploration of life, love and anxiety through emotional synth melodies, vocal harmonies and lyrics."
She wrote of her debut single on Instagram, ""Voices" is a song about battling and overcoming your self-doubt and anxiety. It feels very fitting, as I've spent a number of years being too scared to release any music I've written, so I'm just very proud of myself today. I wrote this song last summer in my bedroom in London and asked a good friend of mine Alex Lanyon to co-produce it, as well as record and mix it. Thank you for adding your touch of magic and being patient with all the many synth sounds I kept wanting to tweak! Thank you to Owen McGarry for mastering the song and thank you to Juan Garcia, who has been an invaluable collaborator for all of the visuals. It makes my heart full that I could have you all as part of this journey."
