Converge announce joint album with Chelsea Wolfe, Ben Chisholm and Stephen Brodsky
Hardcore group Converge have teamed up with Chelsea Wolfe, Ben Chisholm and Stephen Brodsky for a collaborative album titled Bloodmoon I, and have shared a lead single titled "Blood Moon".
"Blood Moon" is the first outing from Converge, Wolfe, Chisholm and Brodsky's new album, and is teamed with an Emily Birds-directed video.
Stereogum reports that Converge's frontman Jacob Bannon said of the collaboration, "We wanted to do something grander than the typical four-piece Converge music."
Accordinng to Pitchfork, they started working on the Kurt Ballou-produced project back in 2016. Wolfe said, "The project stretched my vocals in new ways. It’s so different than what I normally sing over that I was able to open up and be vulnerable with my vocals."
