Constantines reunite for 11th anniversary of Shine A Light
Ontario outfit Constantines are set to reform, the band confirm.
“There is too much love and too much life in this music for it to only exist in the past”, read a statement from Bry Webb announcing that Will Kidman, Steve Lambke, Doug MacGregor, Bry Webb and Dallas Wehrle will be reforming the group for a series of shows in the run up to the 11th Anniversary reissue of their critically acclaimed 2004 album Shine A Light later this year.
In the statement, Webb observes that with timing not being the band’s greatest strength, a reunion celebrating an 11th Anniversary seemed appropriate. “The more something made us laugh, the better an idea it seemed,” he added.
You can read the full statement regarding the reunion, as well as old tour photos and a live version of “Sub Domestic” recorded in 2004 over at The Constantines website.
