Coldplay will reportedly release an experimental album next month
According to reports, Coldplay will be dropping an experimental album next month.
Chris Martin and co are still yet to follow up their 2015 album A Head Full of Dreams, but according to The Daily Star, fans will only have to wait until next month to hear some new Coldplay material.
They report that Coldplay will surprise-drop an experimental LP in November, and have another album of more commercial tracks expected to land in 2020.
A source told The Daily Star, "The first album is the more experimental side of Coldplay, they probably won’t tour until 2020 when the next one arrives."
Last year, the band's friend and collaborator Mat Whitecross told NME, "They always want to be challenging themselves and surprising other people – that’s why they work with people like Brian Eno. In that sense, I’m sure whatever they do next will surprise people."
