Cody Simpson's first album in six years is coming out next month
Multi-hypenate artist and sportsman Cody Simpson is finally dropping a new album, and it's his first first full-length release in 6 years as well as his first as an adult.
The imaginatively self-titled record follows a trio of albums from the Gold Coast-born Simpson and was laid down in November 2020 after he took an eight-day absence from his disciplined swimming schedule to record and co-produce the album at the celebrated Village Recording Studios in West Hollywood.
One track sees him collaborating with Ben Harper ("It’s A Dream") and the album's announcement is accompanied by the "nostalgic yet optimistic" song "Let's Go", which you can watch below. We're told the video was inspired by Wes Anderson. You can make your own mind up about that.
Cody Simpson is released on 8 April via his own label Coast House Records and The Orchard. Here's the full tracklist:
