CocoRosie announce new LP with eerie lead single "Smash My Head"
Sister duo CocoRosie have returned with news of their seventh album Put The Shine On, alongside unveiling the eerie lead single "Smash My Head".
"Smash My Head" is the duo's first new single since August's "Lamb And The Wolf", which will also appear on Put The Shine On.
Discussing their new single, CocoRosie explain, "For us, our song "Smash My Head" is a running-on-fire cry from the teenage heart, an inner scream we never dared to let out. The song climaxes in an exaltation, an expression of ecstatic death. It journeys from a hard-knock desert childhood scene to a transcendent cosmic passing to another realm."
Put The Shine On will be CocoRosie's first album in four years, after 2015's Heartache City.
Earlier this year they co-wrote, produced, and performed on Chance The Rapper's "Roo".
