Coby Sey shares new track "Onus"
Coby Sey has unveiled new song "Onus" as the second preview of his debut album Conduit.
After announcing Conduit with the lead single "Permeated Secrets" in June, Coby Sey has delivered a secnd track from the record titled "Onus", which is, in his own words, "a reminder of the importance of people power in critical times of neglect."
He added, "There’s both little room for open-ended interpretation and a lot of room for people of different marginalised communities to be reminded that there's still some common ground; it is still possible to affect things when united."
Conduit was created between 2017 and 2021, and is written, produced, arranged, mixed and engineered by Coby Sey. The album was recorded between his Lewisham home, at Hither Green Studios in Lewisham and The Laundry in Hackney.
He said of the album in June, "Conduit is a statement of intent, reaffirming my dedication to transcend the tangible through music – it’s my way to continue and contribute to the musical lineage laid by those before me, locally and worldwide."
