Coachella reportedly rescheduled for April 2022
Coachella is reportedly moving again, and is now due to take place in April 2022 according to industry sources.
Two industry sources have apparently told Variety that Coachella is postponing its October 2021 dates until April 2022, which, if true, will mark the festival's fourth postponement since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year.
As Variety reports, Coachella is yet to officially announce new dates, but representatives for Goldenvoice and AEG Presents either declined to comment or did not respond.
Coachella has been postponed four times since 2020. The first postponement moved the 2020 festival from April to October, and then again to April 2021. The April 2021 dates were put on hold last month, but Coachella organisers haven't made any announcements for new festival dates, and are yet to officially postpone the festival.
According to the industry sources, the latest 'postponement' is due to the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic and over virus transmission fears, as Coachella usually sells out its 125,000 daily ticket capacity each year.
