CLOVES brings her own spiralling thoughts to life on latest single "Manic"
CLOVES is back with her second outing of 2021 - "Manic" - which arrives as the third preview of the London-via-Melbourne artist's second album that's yet to be announced.
"Manic" follows January's "Sicko" single co-produced by Hudson Mohawke, and will feature on CLOVES' highly-anticipated second album alongside last year's comeback single "Dead".
CLOVES says of the track in a press release, ""Manic" isn’t meant to be coherent, it’s written like a spiralling mood/feeling that you’re struggling to articulate to yourself and others, its lack of punch line is its meaning, it’s "idk what’s going on in my head but everything feels wrong", we wanted to give that feeling by stringing together oddities, words to throw sentences off balance, that’s also why it’s the first track and opens the album because it’s so unresolved."
At the end of last year, CLOVES also shared a cover of Charli XCX and Christine and the Queens' "Gone".
