Cloud Nothings preview new album with second single "The Spirit Of"
Cloud Nothings have shared their new single "The Spirit Of" as the second glimpse of their forthcoming album The Shadow I Remember.
"The Spirit Of" lands after last month's lead outing "Am I Something", and is accompanied by a trippy animated video by Jesse Jacobs.
The Shadow I Remember follows their July surprise quarantine album The Black Hole Understands, and saw the band reunite with producer Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studios in Chicago.
Most of the album's 11 tracks are capped around three minutes. Lead vocalist Dylan Baldi says, "That’s the goal - I want the three-minute song to be an epic. That’s the short version of the long-ass jam."
Cloud Nothings will also release a 10th anniversary reissue of their debut album Turning On, which drops on 29 January 2021.
As well as sharing "The Spirit Of" today (17 November), Cloud Nothings have announced an album release livestream show taking place on 27 February 2021.
