Cloud Nothings announce new record Life Without Sound
Cloud Nothings are back with news of album four - it's called Life Without Sound and you can hear the first single, "Modern Act", now.
The band have been teasing the new album a bunch recently, most notably last week when they posted this photo on social media.
The band's Dylan Baldi says of the new record: "A thing I like to do with all of my records is drive around with them. In high school, I would listen to music for hours like that: just driving through the suburbs of Cleveland. And if it sounds good to me in that context and I can think of high school me listening to it and saying, 'That's okay,' I feel good about the record. This is the one that's felt best."
"Generally, it seems like my work has been about finding my place in the world," Baldi continues. "But there was a point in which I realised that you can be missing something important in your life, a part you didn't realise you were missing until it's there - hence the title. This record is like my version of new age music. It's supposed to be inspiring."
John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Death Cab For Cutie) is on production duties.
The band's last record, Here And Nowhere Else, was released in 2014 - although they teamed up with Wavves for last year's No Life For Me.
As well as the new single and album news, Cloud Nothings have confirmed a string of tour dates for next March, including seven dates in the UK. Find out more.
