Cloud Nothings and Wavves set to collaborate on album together
Cloud Nothings may have a new album coming up, but it looks like that’s not the only exciting new project they’ve been working on.
In a recent interview with French publication Dum Dum, the band’s frontman Dylan Baldi revealed that he’s set to team up with Wavves’ Nathan Williams.
“We’ve talked for a while,” Baldi told the magazine. “I should go to California in March to record some stuff with them.” He continued to suggest that the collaboration could lead to “making an album” together.
Meanwhile, Cloud Nothings’ upcoming LP Here And Nowhere Else is out on 31 March (UK) and 1 April (North America). The record follows on from 2012′s Attack On Memory.
UPDATE: Baldi has now told Exclaim that the collab LP is “almost done” and described it as somewhere between the two acts’ current sound. You can hear what could be a snippet of the album below, via Stereogum:
