They say print media is dead, tell that to the ex-GMG Radio boss who has bought music mags Classic Rock and Metal Hammer from Future Publishing.
John Myers, former GMG Radio chief executive and current executive chairman of TeamRock, has bought the titles for a combined total of £10.2 million.
TeamRock is set to run the magazines as print as well as online publications, saying that they’re set to “provide and create premium content to rock-music fans across the world via digital platforms and through the Classic Rock and Metal Hammer titles”.
Myers is set to purchase additional titles in the coming days.
